Dear Osceola Bar Association,

I would like to begin with a heartfelt thank you to the Osceola Bar Association for giving me this memorable opportunity to lead you in 2017. A BIG Thank you to the Board of Officers, for without you, our goals that we have set this year would not have been accomplished.

I started the year with this comment, “I am very proud to be part of the Osceola County Bar Association for the last several years. I have witnessed such growth in the membership and our associations within our community. In 2017, we will continue building our relationships with our community and within the legal field.”

As I recap our year, we as an association continued to grow and reached new heights. We established a new scholarship program honoring Judge Scott D. Polodna and with the help of Education Foundation, we will be able to award a Teen Court Volunteer financial aid as they pursue their college education.

As a bar, we continued our tradition of CLE’s and various speakers at our monthly luncheons. We also welcomed new members and grew our ranks in the Bar. We had our annual Gala at Kissimmee Bay Country Club themed to Moulin Rouge, a great time was had by all. This also helped spring board our scholarship fund. These events blossomed our relationships with our Osceola community.

I congratulate Ms. Warda Ali as the incoming President and Mr. Jose Campa as the incoming President-Elect! I wish them and their Board of Officers all the best in 2018.

In closing, I am humbled and honored to be able to serve the Osceola County Bar Association and our Legal Community this 2017 year. I wish you a safe and happy holiday season!

Kindest Regards,
Richard C. Mendoza, Esq.
Past President
